Buckwheat Honey was traditionally produced in New York State, but it has been planted in Montana and the Dakotas. From the tiny white blossoms on the buckwheat plant comes one of the most hearty and robust honeys in the U.S. It is very dark in color, and similar to molasses, it possesses an earthy aroma. Buckwheat Honey has been demonstrated to have higher levels of antioxidants than other honey varieties and is often "perscribed" by pediatricians for coughs and colds. Available in all sizes including our new 1 pound salad dressing jar.
